Hi, I’m Mia Elliott — the designer behind This House of Ours.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to beauty. Even as a little girl, I noticed the way spaces felt — the warmth of a room, the quiet details that made a home feel welcoming and alive. It was something instinctive, something I couldn’t quite explain, but something that always mattered to me.
Over time, that instinct grew into a calling.
Because the more I paid attention to homes, the more I realized how deeply the spaces we live in shape our lives. Our homes hold the rhythms of our days, the memories we create with the people we love, and the moments that slowly become the stories we carry with us.
In many ways, our homes quietly shape our marriages, our childhoods, and the memories we hold onto long after we leave them.
We spend so much of our lives within the walls of our homes — sharing meals, raising children, welcoming friends, celebrating holidays, and living out the quiet, ordinary moments of everyday life.
To me, cultivating a home is one of the most meaningful things we do.
Not simply in how it looks, but in how it feels.
 How it flows.
How it supports the life unfolding inside it.
That belief is at the heart of This House of Ours.
Through thoughtful, layered design, my goal is to create homes that feel warm, personal, and deeply connected to the people who live there — spaces that inspire beauty in the everyday and hold the stories of a life well lived.
Homes that tell the stories they hold.

They’re deeply lived in.

The most beautiful homes aren’t just designed.

Work With Us

Your home should be more than beautiful — it should feel like a reflection of the life lived inside it.

At This House of Ours, we approach design with the belief that the best homes aren’t created by trends or formulas. They are shaped by the rhythms, memories, and stories of the people who live there.

Through thoughtful design, layered materials, and attention to the details that matter most, we create spaces that feel warm, timeless, and deeply personal.

"Working with Mia was such a gift. She listened to my heart, not just my Pinterest board, and created a design that truly reflects our family’s story."

Many people know the feeling when a home doesn’t quite come together. The pieces are there, the inspiration is there — but something still feels unfinished. At This House of Ours, we bring clarity to that process. Through thoughtful design and careful attention to detail, we transform inspiration into spaces that feel cohesive, warm, and deeply personal.

Homes that feel beautiful not just in photographs, but in everyday life.

Start Your Project

Absolutely. Our approach to design isn’t centered around trends. Instead, we focus on creating homes that feel timeless, personal, and reflective of the people who live there.

We primarily work with homeowners on full-room transformations, furnishing projects, renovations, and new builds. Many of our projects involve designing multiple spaces to create a cohesive vision throughout the home.

Yes. In addition to local projects, we offer virtual design services that allow clients to work with us regardless of location. This process provides a clear design plan you can implement with confidence.

Every project is unique and timelines vary depending on the scope of work. During our discovery call, we’ll discuss your project in more detail and outline what the design timeline may look like.

Once we receive your inquiry, we’ll review the details and reach out to schedule a complimentary discovery call. During that call, we’ll learn more about your project and discuss how we can work together.
